Aquamarine Elunarian Dragonfly
The little creature you have in your hands is created mainly out of shaped tombac pressing which were made in the Czech Republic in the late 1940s. The masterful moulds they are pressed in have however been used for the same techniques since the 1920s.
On the back sits a so-called shawl clip with a clamped steel bracket that allows the jewelry to be set wherever; on a bracelet or necklace, lapel or belt. They can also be worn as brooch, hat decoration, tie pin, on a jacket, belt, corset or put somewhere around the home... Only the imagination sets the boundaries!
The high copper content of the material mean that they will tarnish with age and handling, being worn into a little creature of personal flair.
The wings are made of acrylates, cellophane and powdered unicorn tears.
When the butterfly is not in use please make sure that the wings are not bent or folded but are either free or laying on a level surface to avoid deformation. What you have in your hand is not a toy - the butterfly is durable but at the same time fragile and contains small parts.
Glass details are high quality Chez and Japanese glass beads.
