Filigree pin - Little Wings (A)
This is slightly more flat than Little Wings B and different in the soldering.
The pin comes in gift wrap with a page on the story of the metal pressings, a lovely tag, a satin ribbon and free shipping (unless you choose recorded/tracked post).
The needles are made as adornment for a finished hair do supported by regular needles. You CAN of course wear it just on it's own (I frequently use just a crochet needle, pen or paintbrush to keep my hair in a bun all day effortlessly); but to make sure it stays in place I recommend creating the bun or do first and then add the filigree pin as "icing on the cake". -You know your own hair the best.
The needle itself is sturdy and slightly flexible; made from 3mm wide round copper, hammered to a flat and soldered firmly to the decor with silver/copper solder.
After finishing the entire pin is washed, polished and antiqued.
The needle is BLUNTED to be comfortable in the hair or on a knitted scarf. It is NOT made as a traditional hat pin which is pointed to portrude through hat and hair; but a more comfortable, modern option that won't prick you.
The length of the pin itself vary between 10 and 13 cm. Please refer to the individual images for size reference.

The pins are put together with a tombac pressing which were made in the Czech Republic in the late 1940s. The masterful moulds they are pressed in have however been used for the same techniques since the 1920s.
